About the Role

RCL FOODS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Admin Clerk to support the Commercial and Finance teams at the Rustenburg Bakery. The successful candidate will be responsible for office administration, supplier payments, general ledger accuracy, and stock-related administration.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring that suppliers are paid on time, records are accurately maintained, and operational teams are fully supported.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

 Order Administration

  • Place general orders for stationery, staff refreshments, and consumables
  • Ensure orders are authorised, cost-effective, and placed with approved suppliers
  • Process RTOs accurately and on time
  • Follow up on outstanding back orders
  • Send invoices, purchase orders, and credit notes to Head Office creditors
  • File invoices, POs, and GRNs daily
  • Maintain monthly expense listings and ensure invoices are processed before due dates
  • Receive, verify, store, and control consumables and stationery
  • Conduct weekly stock counts of stationery and refreshments

Stock and Spares Administration

  • Assist with monthly production and distribution stock counts
  • Support maintenance and transport spares counts
  • Prepare daily stock movement reports
  • Investigate and resolve stock variances

Bank and Cash Administration

  • Assist with petty cash requests
  • Support the GL and Cashbook Clerk when required

Finance and General Tasks

  • Assist the Accountant with month-end journals
  • Compile ad hoc spreadsheets when required
  • Perform additional administrative duties as requested by Finance Management

 Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Sunbake ethical standards
  • Report and escalate non-compliance issues appropriately

Information & Data Management

  • Capture data accurately into information systems
  • Share relevant data with supervisors to support decision-making

 Teamwork and Self-Management

  • Take ownership and accountability for tasks
  • Meet quality and productivity standards consistently
  • Communicate risks and delays proactively
  • Support company values and teamwork

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for the RCL Foods Finance Admin Clerk position, applicants must have:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Finance
  • Experience in an office or administrative environment (preferred)
