Job Purpose
The Revenue Analyst role focuses on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks within the Revenue Management and Compliance environment. The successful candidate will gather and analyse large volumes of data, utilise AI and advanced data extraction tools, and develop actionable intelligence to support compliance and revenue optimisation.
This position also involves driving automation, innovation, and change management initiatives to improve operational efficiency and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities and Job Outputs
Process and Risk Management
- Collect, analyse, and interpret compliance revenue data to support reporting and decision-making
- Conduct trend analysis and verification audits by comparing baseline and current data
- Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective risk mitigation strategies
- Prepare detailed analytical reports and presentations for senior management
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, standards, and procedures
- Protect confidential and sensitive taxpayer information
Operational Excellence
- Plan and implement value-added process improvements, including automation initiatives
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and integrated data

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements
Primary Requirement
Applicants must have:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in Auditing, Data Science, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or AI
- 5–7 years’ relevant experience in auditing, data analytics, accounting, finance, or commerce
- At least 2–3 years at a knowledge worker level
- Strong knowledge and interpretation of the PFMA
- 3–5 years’ experience applying data extraction technologies and AI to complex datasets
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Articles in Auditing
- Strong report writing, presentation, problem-solving, and communication skills
