Minimum Requirements
The following are the minimum entry requirements for the programme:
- Matric/ Technical Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with minimum 40% pass),
OR
- N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline requirements below.
- Boilermaker: Plating & Structural Steelwork or Welders Theory, Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Welder: Plating & Structural Steelwork/ Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Millwright: Electrical Trade Theory or Electrotechnology or Electrotechnics, Fitting Trade Theory / Mechanotechnology, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Electrician: Electrical Trade Theory or Electrotechnology or Electrotechnics, Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory or Mechanotechnology or Mechanotechnics, Engineering Drawings/ Draughting, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory or Industrial Instrument,Industrial Electronics, Mathematics and Engineering Science.
- Rigger: Rigging trade theory, Engineering Drawings/ Draughting, Mathematics and Engineering Science
- NCV Level – 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass.
Required Documents

- Certified copies of all your relevant qualifications
- A copy of your South African ID.
- All CV’s from host communities must strictly come with a proof of residence with the stamp from the relevant tribal office or municipality.
