Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide administrative, logistical, financial and coordination support to the Directorate.

Key duties include:

  • Providing administrative and logistical support to the Directorate.
  • Receiving and registering incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Liaising with public entities regarding the submission of Strategic Plans, Annual Performance Plans and Shareholder Compacts.
  • Conducting preliminary analysis of draft performance plans against applicable guidelines.
  • Arranging monthly and quarterly Directorate meetings.
  • Assisting with drafting minutes of Directorate meetings and following up on action items.
  • Sending reminders to public entities regarding the submission of quarterly performance reports and Portfolio Committee presentations.
  • Distributing Portfolio Committee presentations and Parliamentary questions to public entities.
  • Sending correspondence to public entities and following up on outstanding matters.
  • Assisting with petty cash requests and procurement of goods and services.
  • Distributing documents promptly and confidentially.
  • Making travel arrangements for officials.
  • Consolidating and facilitating travel claims for the Directorate.
  • Maintaining and overseeing the Directorate’s filing system.
  • Assisting with the management of finances within the Directorate.
  • Procuring goods and services in accordance with the correct procedures.
  • Preparing quarterly financial and non-financial performance reports for the Directorate.
