Clover YES Learnerships Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be involved in monitoring and supporting secondary distribution activities.

Monitor Driver Adherence to Planned Routes

Participants may be responsible for monitoring drivers’ adherence to planned routes using the Daily Route Management (DRM) system.

Duties may include:

• Monitoring driver adherence to planned routes.
• Escalating unauthorised stops to relevant managers.
• Identifying speeding incidents.
• Monitoring excessive vehicle idling.
• Identifying vehicles entering no-go zones.
• Monitoring harsh braking events.
• Escalating relevant events to managers.

Monitor Delivery Turnaround Times

Participants will also monitor Stop Turn Around Times (TATs) and identify delays affecting deliveries.

Responsibilities may include:

• Monitoring delivery turnaround times.
• Reporting delivery delays.
• Escalating delays to the relevant manager.
• Monitoring planned versus actual delivery performance.

Monitor Vehicle and Route Performance

The role also involves monitoring various aspects of vehicle and route performance.

This may include:

• Monitoring planned versus actual kilometres.
• Monitoring planned versus actual hours.
• Monitoring driving time.
• Monitoring standing time.
• Monitoring route sequence compliance.
• Comparing planned routes with actual routes.
• Monitoring vehicle-to-route assignments.

Route Allocation Handover

The successful candidate may also assist with route allocation handovers and ensure that important information is communicated between shifts.

This can include ensuring that open calls and outstanding queries are properly handed over to the next shift.

Monitor the DRM System

Another important part of the position involves monitoring the Daily Route Management (DRM) system.

Responsibilities include:

• Checking DRM reports for driver debriefing.
• Escalating incorrect geo-fencing.
• Monitoring inactive routes.
• Acknowledging non-reporting units.
• Extracting daily reports.
• Extracting weekly reports.
• Extracting monthly reports.
• Providing reports to the Project Manager.
