ADMINISTRATION CLERK – (CIVIL & SMALL CLAIMS

REFERENCE: 44/20/LMP
POST: ADMINISTRATION CLERK – (CIVIL & SMALL CLAIMS)
CENTRE: MAGISTRATE LULEKANI
SALARY: R 173 703 – R 204 612 per annum. The successful candidate will be required to sign a performance agreement.

REQUIREMENTS:
 Grade 12 or equivalent qualifications.
 Relevant administrative experience
 Knowledge of Case Flow Management will be an added advantage
 A Legal / Para-Legal qualification will serve as an advantage
 Valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
Skills and competencies:
 Good communication skills (verbal and written);
 Problem solving.
 Good interpersonal relations.
 Attention to detail.

DUTIES:
o Receive and process documents used in small claims court
o Issue Summons and documents of process for small claims court
o Arrange trial dates for small claims Court with the Commissioner
o Arrange court rolls for both civil and small claims court
o Advice public with regards to procedure to institute claims
o Filing and storage of court documents
o Granting of defaults judgement
o Issuing of warrants of execution against property
o Issuing of Section 65 Notice
o Maintenance of appeal and civil court registers
o Provide any other administrative support as required by the Judiciary, Court Manager and / or Supervisor.
o Perform other administration duties as directed by Court Manager
