Youth Applications for the Presidential Employment Initiative Opens

Overview

The Gauteng Department of Education is mandated to provide compulsory basic education to all learners in the province progressively.

We are committed to providing functional and modern schools that enable quality teaching and learning, that protect and promote the right of every learner to quality, equitable and relevant education

What is the program all about?

• To provide educational assistants to schools to ensure continued learning and teaching in a safe environment.
• To provide youth with employment opportunities as part of the Presidential Youth Employment Initiative.

Who must apply for this program?

All unemployed South African Youth that:

• Are between the ages of 18 – 35
• Reside in Gauteng
• Without criminal record

NB : Only applicants with valid South African IDs, including permanent residence.

When you apply, you will be given a list of the 10 closest schools to your residence, you are able to select 5 schools of your choice. If you are successful you will be placed at one of the schools you have selected.

Application dates

Applications open between 10 November 2020 to 22 November 2020. If you have not been contacted by one of the schools you have applied to within 3 weeks after the closing date, consider your application to be unsuccessful.
