The Amathuba Learnership is designed for bright, ambitious and motivated young South Africans who want to establish a career in wealth management and financial services.

Successful learners will spend 12 months gaining both classroom and workplace experience. During the programme, learners will be exposed to financial products, legislation, business ethics and different aspects of the financial services industry.

Wealth Management NQF Level 4 Qualification

Old Mutual Amathuba Learnership Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered for the Old Mutual Amathuba Learnership Programme 2026:

  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be between 18 and 30 years old.
  • Must currently be unemployed.
  • Must not be studying towards another qualification at another educational institution.
  • Must not have previously participated in a Wealth Management NQF Level 4 learnership programme.
  • Must have passed Grade 12 / Matric or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Must have obtained at least 50% for English.
  • Must have obtained at least 50% for an official second language.
  • Must have obtained at least 50% for Pure Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy.
  • Must be available to start the programme on 01 October 2026.

Meeting the minimum requirements does not necessarily guarantee selection, as applicants may be required to complete additional stages of the recruitment process.

Education Requirements

The minimum educational requirement for the Old Mutual Amathuba Learnership is:

NQF Level 4 – Grade 12 / School Leaving Certificate / National or Occupational Certificate or equivalent.
