Financial Accountant Job Overview

Hello Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Financial Accountant to manage and oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support strategic decision-making across the business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Operations

• Oversee reconciliations with third-party partners and resolve data discrepancies
• Manage cash flow forecasting and planning
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement best practices
• Support automation and system-driven efficiencies in finance operations

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Analyse financial results and provide insights into variances and trends
• Consolidate group management accounts accurately
• Maintain the general ledger and supervise journal postings
• Review balance sheet accounts, including intercompany balances
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting

Compliance and Controls

• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and explanations

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist with annual budget preparation
• Monitor budget versus actual performance and provide variance reports

Team Leadership

• Mentor junior accountants and review their work
• Provide training on accounting standards, systems, and internal processes

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this Financial Accountant role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory compliance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
