What is the YES Initiative?

The Youth Employment Service (YES) Initiative is a Presidency-led programme designed to tackle youth unemployment by creating work opportunities for young South Africans.

Programme Duration

Successful applicants will be employed on a:

12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

During this period, participants will receive practical exposure to different operational and administrative functions within the business.

Key Responsibilities

Participants in the Solareff YES Programme will assist with a variety of daily business operations, including:

Administrative Support

  • Providing administrative support to assigned departments

YES Programme Eligibility Criteria

  • Must not be studying full-time during the programme period
  • Must never have participated in the YES Programme before
  • Must not currently be registered on the YES Initiative
