About the Role

As a Store Shop Assistant, you will play an important role in delivering outstanding customer service while supporting daily store operations. You will assist customers with product recommendations, maintain attractive merchandise displays, manage stock, process sales transactions, and help the store achieve its sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Customer Service

• Create a welcoming and personalised shopping experience.
• Assist customers with selecting beauty and cosmetic products.
• Explain product features, benefits, and current promotions.
• Promote Signature Cosmetics Loyalty Card membership.
• Respond professionally to customer enquiries and complaints.
• Perform professional makeovers and record customer product information.
• Introduce customers to products using testers.

Sales Support

• Achieve individual and store sales targets.
• Increase average basket size through upselling and cross-selling.
• Promote new products, promotions, and special offers.
• Participate in daily team meetings and floor walks.
• Support all marketing campaigns and promotional activities.

Stock Management

• Assist with stock receiving and replenishment.
• Participate in stock takes and cycle counts.
• Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) stock rotation procedures.
• Report low stock levels and out-of-stock items.
• Maintain clean and organised stockrooms.
• Prevent stock damage through proper storage practices.

Store Standards

• Maintain high visual merchandising standards.
• Ensure shelves, displays, and testers are clean and well presented.
• Follow all operational procedures and company policies.
• Maintain housekeeping standards throughout the store.
• Assist with pricing updates, markdowns, and promotional displays.

Cash Handling

• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Process customer payments accurately.
• Follow cash handling and banking procedures.
• Comply with all company financial policies.

Teamwork and Training

• Attend scheduled training sessions.
• Share new knowledge with colleagues.
• Assist with the induction of new employees.
• Report policy breaches or operational concerns to management.
• Work according to the approved staff schedule.
