Medwell SA are the leaders in Managed Home Nursing and Health Care Services since 1997. Our services include managed care at home, post-hospitalisation and discharge from rehabilitation facilities. Medwell SA specialises in:
- Providing Managed Home Health Care services as an alternative to long-term hospitalisation and care in specialised care facilities,
- Management and provision of Holistic Health Care Services within the retirement village sector to include Managed Home Health Care as part of the service delivery.
- Primary Health care in Care Centre’s and Retirement Villages.
- Preventative management of Medical Aid members that are High Risk patients.
We are looking for one full time Registered Nurse to add to our Head Office ( Pretoria ) as well Regsitered Nurses who are willing to work on ADHOC/ Contract basis in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Free-State and Limpopo.
Duties & Responsibilities
The full time Registered Nurse will have to manage and grow the current patient load his/her area.
- Co-ordinate and manage allocated home nursing services.
- Assessment and continuous monitoring of patients.
- Implementation of Home Based Care services.
- Placement and orientation of care workers.
- Perform nursing procedures, e.g. Intravenous Infusion, catheter change; wound care, etc.
- Quality control of home nursing performed.
- Compile relevant reports.
- Upload of data on MEMS (Medwell Electronic Medical System).
- Represent the company in the community and at medical institutions where required.
- Continuous in-service training of care workers in conjunction with Human Resources Department and Nursing Services Manager.
- On stand-by for any emergency calls during office hours and after hours on-call on rotation basis.
The ADHOC/ Contract Registered Nurses will be contract for basic assessments and education of patients with reporting writing on the allocated patient. Patients are based throughout Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Free-State and Limpopo.
Desired Experience & Qualification
The full time Registered Nurse:
- Qualified Registered Nurse with interest in community healthcare services
- Knowledge and practical experience of the clinical and administrative requirements and procedures that is expected within the remit of a Registered Nurse.
- Confident with all nursing procedures, including Intravenous Infusions (start and administer).
- Experience in Stoma Care beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, strong leadership, dedication, loyalty and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- SANC registration must be active.
- Valid driver’s license.
- The applicant must be basied closed to Pretoria and willing to travel the surrounding areas.
The ADHOC/ Contract Registered Nurses:
- Qualified Registered Nurse with interest in community healthcare services
- Knowledge and practical experience of the clinical and administrative requirements and procedures that is expected within the remit of a Registered Nurse.
- Confident with all nursing procedures, including Intravenous Infusions (start and administer).
- Excellent communication skills, strong leadership, dedication, loyalty and integrity.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- SANC registration must be active.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willing to travel in mentioned areas.
