data-end=\"586\">If you are between 18 and 22 years old and have completed Matric, the SANDF MSDS 2027 programme could be your pathway to professional growth and long-term career opportunities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"653\">Applications are open from 16 February 2026 to 27 March 2026.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"655\" data-end=\"658\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"660\" data-end=\"696\"><strong>What Is the SANDF MSDS Programme?<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"698\" data-end=\"809\">The <strong data-start=\"702\" data-end=\"750\"><span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Military Skills Development System<\/span><\/span> (MSDS)<\/strong> is a <strong data-start=\"756\" data-end=\"787\">two-year contract programme<\/strong> offered by the SANDF.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"811\" data-end=\"822\">Year 1:<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"918\">\n<li data-start=\"823\" data-end=\"848\">\n<p data-start=\"825\" data-end=\"848\">Basic Military Training<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"849\" data-end=\"918\">\n<p data-start=\"851\" data-end=\"918\">Functional and specialised training in your chosen service division<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 data-start=\"920\" data-end=\"931\">Year 2:<\/h3>\n<ul data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"1040\">\n<li data-start=\"932\" data-end=\"967\">\n<p data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"967\">Deployment to various SANDF units<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"998\">\n<p data-start=\"970\" data-end=\"998\">Practical workplace exposure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"999\" data-end=\"1040\">\n<p data-start=\"1001\" data-end=\"1040\">Leadership and professional development<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1042\" data-end=\"1171\">The programme allows recruits to gain hands-on experience while serving South Africa in a disciplined and structured environment.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1173\" data-end=\"1176\" \/>\n<h3 data-start=\"1178\" data-end=\"1217\">SANDF MSDS 2027 Minimum Requirements<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1219\" data-end=\"1265\">To qualify for the MSDS 2027 intake, you must:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1788\">\n<li data-start=\"1267\" data-end=\"1317\">\n<p data-start=\"1269\" data-end=\"1317\">Be a South African citizen (no dual citizenship)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1368\">\n<p data-start=\"1320\" data-end=\"1368\">Be between 18 \u2013 22 years old (with Grade 12)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1369\" data-end=\"1442\">\n<p data-start=\"1371\" data-end=\"1442\">Be between 18 \u2013 26 years old (with a 3-year tertiary qualification)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1479\">\n<p data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1479\">Have a minimum APS score of 18<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1480\" data-end=\"1521\">\n<p data-start=\"1482\" data-end=\"1521\">Have Life Orientation (Level 4 minimum)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1522\" data-end=\"1616\">\n<p data-start=\"1524\" data-end=\"1616\">Have Mathematics and Physical Science for specialised fields such as Aviation or Engineering<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1617\" data-end=\"1659\">\n<p data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1659\">Have no criminal record or pending cases<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1660\" data-end=\"1678\">\n<p data-start=\"1662\" data-end=\"1678\">Be medically fit<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1679\" data-end=\"1725\">\n<p data-start=\"1681\" data-end=\"1725\">Have no visible tattoos when wearing uniform<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1726\" data-end=\"1788\">\n<p data-start=\"1728\" data-end=\"1788\">Be willing to undergo psychometric,
