Purpose of the General Worker Position

The purpose of the Pikitup General Worker position is to carry out cleaning and refuse bin delivery-related tasks. • Place filled refuse bags in designated collection areas for waste trucks.
• Empty refuse bins and load refuse bags onto waste collection trucks or bakkies.

• Follow safety precautions when collecting refuse along kerbsides and pavements.
• Collect the tools and equipment required to perform daily tasks.
• Attend inspections of personal protective equipment and sign attendance registers.
