About the DSV Packaging Officers and Packers Jobs

As a Material Handler, Packaging Officer, or Packer, you will be responsible for supporting warehouse operations by receiving stock, storing products correctly, picking and packing customer orders, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will be responsible for:

Receiving and Warehouse Operations

• Following warehouse management system (WMS) and customer procedures
• Receiving, putting away, picking, and packing stock
• De-stacking pallets in preparation for receiving goods
• Checking inbound shipment paperwork from suppliers
• Labelling products during stock receiving
• Ensuring checklist document control compliance

Stock Management

• Putting stock away after receiving is completed and closed on the system
• Placing stock in the correct warehouse departments according to Hazchem classifications
• Applying correct labels, including:
  • Handling Unit (HU) labels
  • Distribution Unit (DU) labels
  • Product identification labels
  • Dispatch labels

Picking and Packing

• Picking the correct products and quantities from designated bin locations
• Using RF scanners to locate and process stock
• Recording picking activities on dispatch control sheets
• Packing stock according to client and Hazchem specifications
• Reporting discrepancies to administrators and team leaders

Inventory Control

• Conducting stock takes when required
• Performing cycle counts
• Maintaining accurate inventory records

Health and Safety

• Reporting safety incidents
• Complying with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards
• Following warehouse health and safety procedures
• Meeting daily quality standards for receiving, picking, and packing activities
