Duties and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will:

• Visit correctional facilities daily
• Engage with inmates and Department of Correctional Services officials
• Monitor inmate complaints and conditions of incarceration
• Report on deaths, segregation, use of force, and use of restraints
• Support inspections and investigations conducted by JICS officials
• Capture inmate complaints and maintain records
• Compile detailed reports and handle administrative tasks

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must have:

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate
• Computer literacy
• Good accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently and within a team

Additional Requirements

Candidates must attach:

• A recommendation or nomination as an ICCV from a community organisation
• The recommendation letter must not be older than six months
