• CB1-2: R257 895 per annum

• Understanding of minimum security standards in correctional centres

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Controlling access at correctional centres
• Monitoring inmate movement internally and externally
• Guarding inmates in correctional facilities and public institutions
• Conducting physical security inspections
• Managing security equipment and control rooms
• Ensuring safe, secure, and humane detention conditions
• Supporting rehabilitation and human development of offenders

• CB1-3: Minimum 10 years’ experience at CB1-2 level
