Job Purpose
Successful candidates will help render cleaning services and provide ad hoc removal services across various City of Tshwane buildings and facilities.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify, applicants must meet the following:
- Basic literacy and ability to perform cleaning-related duties
- Experience in office cleaning or gardening (advantageous but not required)
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work for long periods
- Willingness to be deployed anywhere in Tshwane based on operational needs

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
As a Cleaner, your tasks will include:
General Cleaning
- Cleaning offices, passages, outside areas, toilets, kitchens and washrooms
- Sweeping, scrubbing, polishing, stripping, sealing and vacuuming floors
- Emptying bins and ashtrays
- Cleaning windows, walls, stairways, lifts and office equipment
Outdoor & Garden Maintenance
- Raking, maintaining outside work areas and gardens
- Ensuring cleanliness in parking areas and building surroundings
Additional Services
- Collect recyclable paper for the City
- Provide ad hoc removal services as required
- Refill paper holders, soap dispensers and deo-blocks
- Support operational requirements as duties may change within the same level
