Electoral Commission of South Africa invites all suitable unemployed individuals to apply for the available Jobs opportunities for the upcoming Elections in South Africa.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to the following election related temporary positions in the administration of the Electoral Commission, a state institution established by Chapter 9 of the Constitution
Purpose
- To assist the Electoral Matters department with material reconciliation, ballot verification, counting of votes and finalisation of results of the election.
- To contribute towards strengthening electoral democracy processes by assisting in coordinating and implementing the voting and results programmes of the Electoral Commission at voting station level.

- To Conduct all related voting and results activities.
2.Counting Votes officers
- Assist with the general coordination of the counting and results recording processes
Minimum requirementsÂ
- Must be an SA citizen
- Must be a registered voter
- In the last five years must not have held political office or been a candidate in an election or have been politically active for a political party or campaigning for a political party
- In the last five years must not have been elected to office in an organisation that has party political affiliations or aims
- Must not contest the current elections or be an agent in the elections
- Must not have been convicted of serious criminal offence(s)
- Must have a valid bank account and must be a registered taxpayer with SARS
