Duties and responsibilities 

• Performing pre and post-trip bus inspection.
• Adhere to sign-on procedures at bus dispatch office.
• Operate allocated shift as per approved schedule.
• Collect all approved fares and issue tickets for distance travelled.
• Pay in all fares collected on a daily basis.
• Adhere to all safety regulations prior to and during shift including all traffic rules.
• Provide information regarding timetable and routes to all enquiring passengers.
• Display correct destination information at all times.
• Responsible for overall bus safety and Hygiene.

Skills and Competencies 

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Customer service orientation.
• Functional knowledge of the geography of greater Johannesburg.
• Ability to deal with physically challenged commuters.
• Honesty ,Punctuality and Integrity

Minimum requirements 

•  Matric; (Standard 10) /Grade 12/ NQF level 4 plus, Valid Driver’s License code EC1/04 or EC, C.
• Valid Professional Drivers Permit.
• Minimum five (5) years experience driving heavy-duty vehicles or Heavy- duty Public Bus Transportation utilities.
